TESC151 - You take the cake!

Hello Friends! TESC is back! I am so excited to be back and kicking off the new year with another fabulous TE Sketch Challenge. There have been some exciting changes to the TE Sketch Challenge which I know you will LOVE! You can find all the deets at Taylor's Blog and also at the TE Forum. It seems like forever since I have stamped and this week's sketch was just the thing to kick start the new year. I adore the super cute cake image from the Sweet Friends set and couldn't wait to ink it up. I colored the cake using Copics (RV02 & RV23) and it came a pretty bright pink. A cake any girl would just love! I added some sparkle with some Stardust Stickles for the icing. I added the "You take the cake!" sentiment from the Sweet Celebration set along with some bright pink gems for more girly fun. The cute 4.25 x 4.25 square size makes it a perfect fit for this week's sketch. I hope you will join in on the fun and I am looking forward to seeing who will be the next featured stamper.

I had a lot of fun playing with the papers from this month's kit. The Homemade 6 Bean Soup collection of patterned papers by Jillibean Soup included in the kit are adorable. I love the quilt patterned paper and embellished it with twine to resemble the tying of a quilt. It's so easy to create with these kits, but these wonderful die cut sentiments really make it really fast and fun.

iCopic Weekly Challenge #57 - Thanksgiving

Happy Monday! Wow! I can't believe it's only a few days til Thanksgiving! So it's just perfect for this week's iCopic challenge to be a Thanksgiving theme. I fell in love with this adorable turkey image and sentiment from the Turkey Day set by Lawn Fawn. I couldn't wait to ink it up and create a fun Thanksgiving card. I started off by stamping the image & sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on yellow patterned paper. I colored the image with Copic Markers and die cut the image & sentiment out with a Labels 8 Die. I layered the main panel of patterned paper with strips of green and brown patterned paper and added lots of stitching. I adhered the panel to the green cardstock base and adhered the image on top with foam tape. I embellished with green grosgrain ribbon and some subtle sparkle with a stardust gel pen.

November Key Ingredients Blog Hop!

Hello Friends! Welcome to the November Key Ingredients Blog Hop! As you can see below this month's kit is pretty fabulous! Don't you just love those pretty patterned papers from the Homemade 6 Bean Soup collection by Jillibean Soup? And look at all those amazing embellishments! One of my favorite things about these kits is how organized they are in that wonderful clear container. They are perfectly wrapped for gift giving. Simply add a tag and you have an amazing gift for a friend. A KI Subscription is the gift that keeps on giving and imagine how thrilled your recipient will be to receive a kit each month. How fun!

I love creating with my KI kit and my card was so easy to create. I started off by adhering a small panel of pink patterned paper to the edge of my floral patterned paper panel. I stitched all around the edges and across the panel where the 2 patterns meet to create a hem. I tied some pink satin ribbon around the card panels and added a bow. I then adhered the panels to the Parakeet cardstock base. I choose the butterfly and sentiment die cuts as the main images. I added some gems to the butterfly and adhered it onto the sentiment with foam tape. Finally I added the sentiment with foam tape to the panel.

TESC150 - Let's Celebrate!!!!

Hey TE Friends! Can you believe it? We are at the 150th Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge! Woo Hoo! And what better way to celebrate this wonderful occasion then with prizes!!! Taylored Expressions will be giving away 3 prizes for Sketch 150... one of each of the newly released stamp sets: Love Grows Here, Labels of Love II, and Thankful! We really hope you all will play along with us! The TE Sketch Crew will be taking a little break for the holidays and this is the final sketch for 2011.

I have been having lots of fun creating Christmas cards lately and I can't seem to put down the Wings of Joy stamp set. The images are adorable and so fun to color. I paired up the image with my stash of Echo Park Christmas Paper. The bright and fun colors really make me smile. I also added a cute doily for fun and texture. Finally I added some piercing, ribbon and Stickles for embellishments. I thought I would be a little extra festive by adding a cute little gingy in the picture. Hope you like it!

It wouldn't be a celebration without a TESC Favorite Flashback. I can hardly believe it myself that already 2 years of being on the TE Sketch Crew has flown by. I have been loving every minute of it. It was so difficult to pick one favorite sketch since they are all wonderful, but I finally decided on TESC129. I had so much fun creating this card for my hubby and this Cuppie image is just one of my all time favs!

Hi Pals! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I'm back again this Monday to host another fun iCopic Weekly Challenge. This week's challenge theme is Thankful. There are so many things in my life in which I am truly thankful. I have been so blessed to make such amazing friends through blogging and I can't thank you all enough for visiting and/or following me through my crafty adventures. I appreciate all your kindness and support, so this week's card is dedicated to all of you!

I chose to use a sentiment instead of an image for the focal point to really highlight the Thankful theme. The lovely "Thank you for being my friend" sentiment is from the Hello Friend set by Lawn Fawn. I wanted all the focus to be on the message, so I dressed it up with some pretty pattern paper and a few embellishments.

This KI creation was created using the wonderful patterned paper from Crate Paper's Farmhouse Collection. I used the large scale floral print paper to cut out 2 flowers as the main images surrounding the friendship sentiment from the Friendship Blooms set. Finally I added the main images/sentiment to the card base with foam tape for dimension. All the paper & embellishments used were from the October Key Ingredients Kit. Just another fun and simple card you can create using these fab kits from Taylored Expressions.

Happy Friday! Are you ready for another fun Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge? This week's TESC is a special one! Today's card features the lovely Wings of Joy set. I adore all the lovely images, but this one was just perfect to use for this week's challenge. I colored the image using Copic Markers and paired up the image with some Pink Paislee - Snow Day patterned paper. Don't you just love all the PINK? I embellished the card with some red ribbon, Stardust Stickles, Christmas Red Stickles and lots of piercing.

The set I'm featuring is the adorable Holiday Wonder set. I love the sweet images and the wonderful sentiments. A perfect set to use for creating a gift card holder. Simply die cut 1 panel for the front of the gift card holder using a Labels 8 Die. Use the die again to cut only half a panel for the back of the gift card holder. Adhere the panels together to create the pocket to hold your gift card. Next add some twine and a button to the top of your gift card holder, so it can easily be attached to another gift or hung up on the tree. Finally decorate the front of your gift card holder with your favorite images. I chose the adorable house image and I had to add Cuppie peeking out the window. I used the Holly Jolly Christmas 6x6 paper by Echo Park for the base and to paper piece the house image. Finally I added the sentiment and embellished the front and back with snowflakes and gems. You can also easily add To: and From: to the back of the gift cardholder.

I had so much fun creating this project. It reminded me of another fun Taylored Expressions Holiday project I created using Home Sweet Home for Christmas in July.

I colored the pumpkin using the color combination of YR04, YR16 and YR68. I colored in the stem using a Black Spica Pen for lots of shimmer. October Key Ingredients Blog Hop!

Hello Friends! Welcome to the October Key Ingredients Blog Hop! Have you all had a chance to see this month's kit? If not, check out all the goodies below and hop on over here to get all of the details. I LOVE fall and this month's kit captures all the beauty of fall with it's gorgeous color combo. I couldn't wait to pair up the sweet pumpkins from the Gobble Gobble stamp set with the pretty patterned papers from Crate Paper's Farmhouse collection. I colored the image with Copic Markers and added a rustic feel by sponging Gathered Twigs Distress Ink all around the image. I die cut the image using a Labels 8 Die. I layered 2 different patterned papers to the card base along with some Green Apple Silk ribbon. I added a few extra touches of shimmer to match the shimmer of the ribbon using a Stardust Gelly Roll Pen on the pumpkins. It's so fun creating cards with the Key Ingredients Kit. Stampendous October Challenge: CAS

Hello Friends! Happy World Card Making Day! What a perfect day for the Stampendous October Challenge. Our challenge to you this month is to join us in making CAS Holiday Cards. We want to spread the holiday spirit, so this month's prize is the Cling Jumbo Sparkle Joy Set to a random winner. You don't have to use a Stampendous image or products to play along, but we LOVE it when you do. My CAS Holiday Card features the adorable elf image and sentiment from the Elf Wishes Perfectly Clear Set. I colored the elf image with Copic Markers and die cut it out with a Labels 8 Die. I matted the background patterned paper panel onto Dark Chocolate Cardstock and added the image on top with foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment and tied ribbon around the card base. Finally I added the matted background panel to the card base with foam tape.

iCopic Weekly Challenge #49 - Red Hair

Hello Friends! I'm your hostess this week for the iCopic Weekly Challenge. This week's challenge is to color red hair. I started off by choosing the super cute Shop Till You Drop stamp by Tutti Cuti. This image is so adorable! I loved her big smile, so I paired the image up with the "You make me smile!" sentiment from the Hello Friend stamp set by Lawn Fawn. So next up was the challenge portion of coloring her hair red. I started off by laying down a base color of E11. Next I built up the color by adding E13, E99 and E18. I blended the colors starting with E99, then E13 and ending with E11. I added some streaks of Y38 to create the final blend and brighten up the hair color to a nice auburn shade. I finished coloring the rest of the image and added in some paper piecing for her hat and boots. I finished the card off by adding some ribbon and a little bit of bling to her hat with a red heart gem. Doesn't she look like a little fashionista?

Tuesday Tips & Tricks - Divine Twine!

Hello Friends! It's my turn to host this week's iCopic Tuesday Tips and Tricks! So excited to share with you today one of my favorite iCopic products... Divine Twine! The name could not be more perfect to describe this fabulous product. It has many basic uses for hanging tags, tying up packages and stitching, but today's card focuses on it's most fun use as an embellishment. I started off my card by using the super sweet Sew Lovely set by Lawn Fawn. I stamped out 3 spool images onto Kraft cardstock, cut out each image and wrapped Cotton Candy Divine Twine around each spool. Just adding the twine makes the spools really pop! It's such an easy embellishment to add to your cards, but this simple embellishment can easily be transformed into a gift. Be sure to check out my little gift giving tip over at the iCopic Blog.

iCopic Weekly Challenge #45 - Water

Hello Friends! Happy Monday and Welcome to another fabulous iCopic Weekly Challenge. This week's challenge is a fun one. The challenge is to color some water (make a water scene, use an image with some water on it, or have your image look like it is under water, etc.). I knew that the adorable Mermaid Anya from The Greeting Farm would be just perfect for this challenge. I think one of the quickest water backgrounds you can make is an under water background. I simply die cut an oval from X-Press It Blending Card Paper and colored the under water background using B11, B13, B15. The Mermaid Anya image is going to be covering the center of the background once she is layered on top, so you will only need to color the outer edges of the die cut oval to create the background. I started off by laying down the base color around the edges using B11. I added dots of B13 and B15 onto the B11 base color and blended them with another layer of B11. I then used the Colorless Blender to add more dots. I used this dotting method to create the look of bubbles, as I would imagine Mermaid Anya would be surrounded by bubbles under water. Hello Friends! I am super excited to bring you this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I am the proud sketch artist for this week and I couldn't wait to share it with you all today. As you can see I just can't get enough of the August Key Ingredients Kit. Everything in the kit is just so adorable! I paired up the kit with Garden Party Critters to create my card. All the coordinating items included in the August Key Ingredients kit made it a breeze to create this card. My favorite part of the kit is the patterned paper with strips of different images. I was able to simply cut a strip of the daisy patterned paper to create a side panel. For the main image I used the cute bee hive image from Garden Party Critters with some honey added using Yellow Stickles. I had a lot of fun with this card and I hope you will play along with us this week. We love seeing your TE Sketch Challenge cards and Taylor loves giving prizes for each challenge. I simply cut out the sentiment and main image from the patterned paper. I layered and stitched the main image and background panel. I then embellished the main image with some gems and ribbon. I finished off the card by just popping up the sentiment with some foam tape. Easy Peasy!

Hello Friends! Happy Friday! Welcome to the iCopic All About Children Blog Hop! You should be arriving here from Michelle's blog, if not, please head back to the iCopic Blog where our hop begins. You won't want to miss any of the wonderful projects along the way.

Today I am sharing one of my favorite images from Lawn Fawn's My Silly Valentine Set. I honestly don't think this cutie pie image could be any sweeter. This adorable stamp set is not just for Valentine's Day. It's a perfect everyday set to let the ones you love know you are thinking about them. Don't we all just love to shower children with love and affection? Wouldn't it be a sweet surprise for your little one to open up his or her lunch box and find a card from you inside? I had that just in mind when I created this 4-1/4" square card. I stamped the cutie pie image onto X-Press It Blending Card Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image using E51 & E53 for the pie and R27 & R29 for the pie plate. I cut out the image using a circle die, cut out a brown cardstock mat using a scallop circle die and adhered the image onto the mat. I added some white dots to the image for highlights and to the scallop circle mat. I assembled the card and finished it off by stamping the sentiment, adding a small piece of ribbon and a cute button with some Cherry Divine Twine.

Tuesday Tips & Tricks - Quick & Easy Card Making

Hi Friends! It's my turn to host this week's Tuesday Tips and Tricks over at the iCopic Blog. Well it may only be August, but the holiday season will be here before you know it. It never fails every year I find myself with some last minute gift giving to do and even worse I also find I am short on cards. This year I found the perfect solution with these wonderful new 6x6 papers available at iCopic. Have you seen this wonderful line of 6x6 paper pads by First Edition? I immediately fell in love with them and wanted to create something with them right away. I was blown away not only with the quality of the paper but with the wonderful prints too. The Festive Treats Paper Pack Pad had me at Gingerbread, but it was this adorable single sheet of glittery patterned paper that first caught my eye. The sheet contained 4 single images that were easily cut down into 3"x3" squares leaving 4 perfect main images for card making. Happy Friday! It's time to break out your stamps and join in on another wonderful Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. This week's sketch was designed by my sweet friend, Lisa, and it's fabulous. I even went out of my cutesy comfort zone for this one too. I paired up the CreativiTea set with some Prima patterned papers. I never really use lots of gems, but I have been loving all the pretty cards I have been seeing with flourishes of gems. So I went a little wild and added a flourish of gems to the bottom of the card and added some to make my teapot steamy. I also went a little crazy and even added a flower. LOL! Bonjour! Well I just can't get enough of the new Stampendous stamps. Tonight I am sharing with you the lovely Eiffel Tower Perfectly Clear Stamp Set. Just so vintage and fabulous that I could not put it down. It's a dream of mine to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower. I think it would just be magical. While I was dreaming of Paris I could only imagine pink, black, white and kraft together. I think pink and black are a requirement for Paris themed items. So cute! I stamped the Eiffel Tower, Postal Images & Sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I love the rich and crisp impression I get when using this ink. I can see why it's a Stampendous favorite. Happy Monday! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! It was a hot one here in Cali, so you can see why I had this cutie on my mind for card making. This week's iCopic Challenge is Skin Tones. If you are used to coloring lighter skin tones then challenge yourself to coloring a darker skin tone and vice versa. I wanted to color this super cute Surfer Anya image by The Greeting Farm closer to my own skin tone during summer. I also colored her hair to match with some serious Sun In getting sprayed in for highlights. I always wanted to do that, but my mom was not having it at the time. So Anya gets to rock the highlights for me! I seriously do wish I had her abs. LOL! Surfer Anya was a blast to color and she looks stunning in every skin tone. Hello Friends! It's the FINAL DAY - DAY 12 of the 12 Days of Christmas/Halloween in July. I had a great time showing you some of the new items just released by Stampendous. I saved the best for last. This is my favorite card that I made for the July catalog. The new Silver Halo Mix which is available with the Treasures Glitter Kit is my favorite glitter hands down. This is a MUST HAVE! The sparkle is incredible and I honestly could not stop staring at the sparkle! It truly is the most dazzling glitter I have ever used. I also am over the moon for the NEW Cling Magical Snowman and Cling Seasons Post stamps. This sweet snowman is my fav NEW image and that sentiment is just gorgeous. I also can't forget about the beautiful Cling Music Score. All of these stamps worked together so perfectly to create the vintage inspired look. Hello Friends! Welcome back to the 12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July - Day 11. Sorry for the break in our regularly scheduled programming, but I was so inspired by this gorgeous card here that I had to create one of my very own. My friend, Wanda, is so talented and when I saw her card I was completely taken with it. I knew instantly which new set I wanted to ink up. These darling angels from the Cling Angel Kisses Set have the sweetest faces and I love their vintage look. I also kept it Krafty, by playing along with the That's Krafty Thursday Challenge. The Kraft carstock base allowed me to really show off the pretty lavender and red color combo. I also got to play with 2 of my favorite accessories - Glitter & Fun Flock. 12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July - Day 10

Hi ya! Well we are rapidly approaching Day 12. A lit sad to see it ending so quickly, but excited to share with you all the NEW everyday images from Stampendous. I know I promised some more new images, but I got to share one of my favorite Changito images from the Changito Snow Play Perfectly Clear stamp set. I wanted to create a quick and easy cocoa holder for mass producing. I simply cut a piece of red cardstock 5"x12" and scored it at 4" and 8". I folded it together and added a strip of scor-tape to the bottom and the back panel to close. Simply pop in a bag of cocoa, add your stamped image to the front panel and close with a ribbon bow. You can also slide in a candy cane too. Join me again tomorrow for Day 11. See you then!

Instructions:
1.) Cut a piece of red cardstock 5" x 12" then score at 4" and 8".
2.) Fold red cardstock at score lines and tape close at bottom and one side to create pouch.
3.) Die cut blue cardstock mat.
4.) Stamp image onto white cardstock, color, die cut and adhere to blue cardstock mat with foam tape.
5.) Punch hole at top & bottom of blue cardstock mat, run ribbon through and adhere to pouch with foam tape.
6.) Tie ribbon into a bow and add button to ribbon with twine.
7.) Add White Cotton Ball Fun Flock to hat of stamped image.

Hey Everyone! It's Wednesday and Day 9! Woot Woot Wednesday! We are half way to the weekend. Can you tell I live for weekends? LOL! I thought to celebrate this wonderful Wednesday I would bring some sparkle. Wow! I love purple and these purple witch boots just dazzle from the Violet Pearl Glitter. Don't you just love that sentiment too? The Cling Bootiful Boots Set is a great Halloween set to have. I'm also crazy for that fun Cling Frightful Phrases background stamp. I can't wait to send these Halloween cards out to the gals. They are gonna love all the glitz. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I think this year there is going to be a lot of glitter happening around here. Hi ya! I thought I would bring back an image previously released to mix it up a bit and because it just too cute. The Cling Cutie Bundles Set is so adorable and a great image to color. I also had some extra fun adding lots of White Cotton Ball Fun Flock. It would also make a cute gift tag for gifting a scarf or a pair of mittens. You can even color the image to match your gift. Matchy, Matchy! Tomorrow I will bring your another previously released Halloween image and then we are back to all new images for the remainder of the series. Hope you are having fun!

Supplies:
Stamps: Cling Cutie Bundles Set (Stampendous)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko) and Copic Markers
Paper: Swimming Pool, Lime Crush & Phoenix Dotted Swiss (Bazzill) and X-Press IT Blending Card Paper (Copic)
Accessories: Brads & Ribbon (Best Creation), Piercing Tool (Making Memories), Signo White Gel Pen (Uni-ball) and Foam Tape (Best Creation)

Instructions:
1.) Make card from Kraft cardstock.

Greetings! Welcome back to the 12 Days of Christmas/Halloween in July - Day 7. Today I have another new Halloween image for you. I love these silly Owls from the Cling Batty Owls Set. I think the sentiment is just hilarious. It's always fun to send someone a card with a funny saying to brighten their day. It just made me smile when I first saw it. I also went batty when I saw how perfectly the Jumbo Bats CAP Stickers would match the image. The velvet feel of the bat stickers is such a great texture. I paired up the image with some of my fav Bo Bunny Halloween patterned paper. I cant' wait for Halloween. It will be here before we know it. Oops... don't hate me for saying that. LOL!

12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July - Day 6

Hi! Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Sunday! Getting this post up this afternoon as I am trying to recover from the County Fair. I think the Fried Kool-Aid may have gotten to me. LOL! So today we are on Day 6 and at our half way point. Wow! It's been so fun sharing all the new Stampendous goodness with you. Today's feature is on a lovely new image called Cling Postcard Pretty and is it ever so pretty. The image really does sparkle with lots of crystal snow glitter on the finished card. I just could not capture it so much in my photo. WOW! I am really loving all these gorgeous vintage images. Creating for this season's catalog was so fun as I got to design out of my normal comfort zone. As you can tell my style is very cutesy with lots of bright colors, but I am completely head over heels for all things vintage. I literally squealed with delight when I saw all these wonderful vintage images and had tons of ideas racing through my head. I think the most fun I had designing with the vintage images was that the distressed look was more freeing. I could crumple, stain and tear my papers. It was great getting my hands all inky. SO FUN! I also water colored many of my images. My sweet friend, Sandra MacLean, helped me so much with some great tips. What she does with watercolors is simply phenomenal, so you will have to visit her blog to see what I mean. Thank you all for stopping by and visiting me today. 12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July - Day 5

Happy Saturday! Super excited for a fun weekend! Today I have another Christmas creation for you featuring a truly beautiful image by Stampendous called Cling Manger Scene. I paired it up with the Cling Precious Bundle sentiment. You can do so many wonderful things with solid images. I simply stamped this image, but I think it would look amazing embossed too. Stampendous has added some beautiful new embossing powders to their line. The simple stamping of the solid image makes it a great one to use when mass producing cards. This card came together so quickly. I added a little sparkle to the card by adding this gorgeous glittered patterned paper by Best Creations. I didn't want it to take away from the main image, so I softened it by layering a panel of vellum over it. It worked perfectly to keep the focus on the manger. Hello! Welcome back! It's Day 4 of the 12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July. Today I am featuring the super cute Cling Armload Claus Set. It's he just the cutest Santa? I think so! I had a blast coloring him in and adding lots of Fun Flock to his hat and coat. Did you get a chance to stop by the Stampendous site to check out the complete line of new releases? There are so many fabulous new images that I know you are going to love. Not only are there new stamps, but there are new glitters, stickers and mica fragments. Howdy Friends! It's FRIDAY! Woot Woot! TGIF! Super excited for the weekend!!! So let's get right to it today with another fun Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I really loved this sketch and had tons of fun making Cuppie Shabby Chic. I was so tempted to bust out the bright colors again. I know I just can't help myself. LOL! I really fell in love with this beautiful patterned paper and I broke out of my routine of bright colors for a special Cuppie card. Hi Friends! I'm back with a quick post today for the 12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July. I hope you are liking the sneak peeks so far. The complete line is now available to view & purchase on the Stampendous website here. So go check it out! You are gonna love what you see! Today's card features the adorable Cling Spooky Treat Set. I fell in love with this super cute ghost and had fun creating this Halloween card. I'll be back later tonight to post the instructions and supply list. Also wanted to let you know I will be offering up some BLOG CANDY at the end of this 12 Days Series. Hopefully my little ghost friend won't be eating it. LOL! So stay tuned for that too! Please join me again tomorrow for another Christmas creation.

Update!
Instructions:
1. Make card from Kraft cardstock.
2. Cut panel of black/kraft polka dot paper and adhere to card base.
3. Die cut scallop circle mat from black cardstock and pierce a hole in each scallop.
4. Stamp image onto white cardstock, color, die cut (circle) and adhere to black scallop circle mat.
5. Adhere image to card base with foam tape.
6. Stamp sentiment onto green patterned paper, die cut (circle), trim off bottom of circle and adhere to base.
7. Add button to top of sentiment with a glue dot.

12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July - Day 2

Hello again! So how did you like Day 1 of the Stampendous 12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July? Are you ready for Day 2? I thought I would share with you one on my favorites. Hmm... they all seem to be one of my favorites. Sorry I can't help it. Ok, let's call this one my CAS favorite. If you are anything like me you will be up all night stamping your Christmas cards to get them out on time. Well this card is going to be my secret weapon this year. Nothing beats a clean and simple card when you are mass producing cards. The darling new Cling Secret Santa image and Cling Christmas Greetings sentiment come together perfectly. Wow, there is still so much more to show you! Please join me again tomorrow for another exciting Stampendous reveal.

Instructions:
1.) Make card from cardstock. 2.) Stamp Santa onto Kraft cardstock with red ink. 3.) Stamp Christmas Greetings sentiment onto cardstock over Santa image with black ink. 4.) Die cut image / sentiment out. 5.) Cut panel of red polka dot patterned paper and adhere to card base. 6.) Adhere die cut image / sentiment with foam tape to card base.

TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop - Key Ingredients Style!

Hello! Happy Wednesday! I'm already looking forward to the weekend! Going out to the County Fair for some fun and great eats! It really feels like summer now. The Sending You Sunshine theme for this month's TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop couldn't be more perfect. Summer always reminds me of getting outdoors and playing until the street lights came on. The long summer days meant I could stay outside riding my bike until 8pm. Oh how I loved being outdoors just soaking in the sun! So when I was thinking of what stamp set to use for the blog hop I immediately remembered that darling image of Cuppie and friend in a hot air balloon from the Cuppie Love Scenes set. Who wouldn't want to be flying around soaking in those sun rays and drifting through that delicious summer air? I also got some additional inspiration for the pattern I wanted on the hot air balloon from the sweet patterned papers from the July Key Ingredients Kit. I can't tell you enough how much fun I have been having creating with this month's kit. All the cardstock and patternd papers used for my card were from the kit and there is still plenty more for me to continue creating. Are you loving this kit too? 12 Days of Christmas / Halloween in July - Day 1

Hello Friends! Super excited to finally be able to share with you the creations I have been working on these past months for the Stampendous July 2011 Catalog. The catalog is being revealed this week at CHA, so I thought I would bring a bit of the reveal to those of you who could not attend. I had a blast working on samples for the catalog and booth for CHA. The new Stampendous images are AMAZING! So let's get the party started with a couple of my favorite new images - Cling Eiffel Noel and Cling Poinsettia Silhouette. Do you notice that sparkle on the poinsettias? It's from the brand new Champagne Glass Glitter by Stampendous. Love it!!! I had so much fun with this card. I really enjoyed all the distressing and embossing. I just love how the embossed Poinsettia image in the background peeks through. I hope you enjoyed today's card. Please be sure to stop by tomorrow for another reveal. Instructions:

1.) Make card from cardstock. 2. ) Stamp poinsettia onto cardstock panel with Versamark ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. 3.) Stamp Eiffel tower onto cardstock rectangle, color with markers and tear edges. 4.) Wrinkle both cardstock panel and rectangle then distress and ink edges as desired. 5.) Adhere panel to card base and tie ribbon bow. 6.) Adhere rectangle to panel with foam tape, glue glass glitter to center of flowers and spray with shimmer.

iCopic Weekly Challenge #39 - Congrats!

Happy Monday!!! Did you all have a wonderful weekend? Mine was great and I was so happy to have such a nice relaxing Sunday. I am back to share with you another fab iCopic Weekly Challenge. This time up the challenge is to only use pastel colors. What a great one for me this week as I have a few friends who are expecting. So excited for my friends and happy to get a lot of use out of this adorable Plus One set by Lawn Fawn available at iCopic. The images are all so sweet and if you missed my previous iCopic Challenge Card using Plus One you can check it out here. I love CAS cards and since the image is so cute I wanted to focus on it. I stamped the image & sentiment onto X-Press IT Blending Card Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. This cardstock is fantastic for coloring with Copics. I colored in the image using the following Copic colors: Moon (Y11,Y13), Small Star (BG000, BG01) & Large Star (V000, V01). Next I die cut the image & sentiment out along with a matching blue mat. I embossed the bottom layer of plum cardstock with dots and adhered it to the card base. I added my layers onto the plum cardstock with foam tape and added the ribbon bow to the base. I finished off the card with some sparkle by adding a clear gem & glitter to the image.

I thought I would bring you a little Christmas in July which is also a sneak peek of the wonderful new Stampendous releases which will be available after July 18th. I used the brand new Cling Postal Pair, Cling Postal Greeting and Cling Music Score. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the vintage look of these new stamps. They were a joy to play with and the images are just beautiful! I think what really made the card complete was that gorgeous Crinkle Ribbon from May Arts.

Instructions:

1.) Make card from cardstock. 2.) Stamp music score and sentiment onto square cardstock panel, lightly smear ink, wrinkle panel then distress and ink edges. Adhere panel to card base. 3.) Stamp vintage postcard image onto cardstock rectangle, watercolor with markers, tear and ink edges. 4.) Gather wired ribbon to create ruffle and adhere to back of cardstock rectangle then adhere to panel with foam tape. 5.) Apply glitter to coat trim and muffler on stamped image.

Hola Amigas! It's that time again for another wonderful Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. This week's fab sketch was designed by the amazing Lori Craig. Super fun sketch, Lori!!! I can't get enough of the TE Sweet Friends set. There are so many cute images and of course one of my favs is Cuppie! I started off the card by cutting out the banner using a pennant die. I stamped, colored and cut out Cuppie and popped him up on the largest pennant using foam tape. I punched out 4 stars and popped them up with foam tape as well. I then added red gems to tie the banner all together. Fun and Fast! Are you ready to play along with us? We sure hope so! Hi Friends! It my turn to bring you this week's Tuesday Tips and Tricks at the iCopic Blog! Have you ever found yourself searching for the perfect matching embellishments for your projects? iCopic Weekly Challenge #35 - Thanks Friend!

Happy Monday! Are you ready for another great iCopic Weekly Challenge? This challenge happens to be a favorite of mine. The challenge is to color on something other than smooth white paper. Just think Kraft, Vanilla, Watercolor, Textured or any other kind of paper you can think of other than smooth white. I am pretty sure you can guess by now how much I love Kraft paper. I really love to use my Copics to color on Kraft. The darker paper gives your coloring a deeper richer look. For my challenge card I decided on using the adorable Critters in the Forest set by Lawn Fawn. I just knew the raccoon and log would look great colored on Kraft cardstock. I started off by coloring the log using a trio of browns (E34, E35 & E37) and colored the leaves in using (YG23 & YG25). Next I colored that cute raccoon using a trio of warm grays for the body (W1, W3 & W5) and colored his face using cool grays (C4, C7 & C9). Using the warm grays and kraft paper really gave the raccoon that perfect blend of gray & brown fur. I added just a touch of white to his face to highlight the eyes. Isn't he too cute? Jumbo Stampendous Blog Hop!!!

Hello Friends! Welcome to another Jumbo Stampendous Blog Hop! This time we are featuring 3 new amazing additions to the Cling Jumbo Sets. I am so excited to share today's project with you. I absolutely in LOVE with these Cling Jumbo Sets. Today I am sharing a project I created using the Cling Jumbo Tulip Set. This beauty is so bold and elegant. The large size makes it perfect for card making, scrapbooking and 3D items. It's a triple threat! I have been hoarding these kraft handle bags and finally found the perfect use for them. I started off by stamping the beautiful flourish that comes in the set with Versamark ink. I wanted to add a pattern to the bag, but not distract from that gorgeous tulip. Next I stamped the birthday sentiment and stamped the tulip image using that wonderful Jumbo Perfectly Clear Handle. This handle is a must have. It makes it so easy to stamp your Jumbo Cling images. I colored the tulip with Copic markers and added some lovely sparkle using Sheer Shimmer Spritz. I cut out the tulip and add 3D foam tape to really make the tulip pop off the bag. TESC140 - I want to have my cake ...

Happy Friday! Woo Hoo! So looking forward to the weekend! Let's start off by having some fun with the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. Well, I started going back to the gym this week and let's just say it was the inspiration for today's card. I remember now why I stopped going... hee hee hee! Don't we all wish to be able to eat cake and have a skinny waist too? LOL! So since I have had to cut back on the sweets. I thought making zero calorie paper cakes would be best. This super cute cake slice is from the TE set called Sweet Friends. All those slices just look so yummy. Hmm... maybe not a good idea to make a card so tempting. LOL! I thought I would send this off to my workout buddy a.k.a my BFF. She will get a kick out of it, but possibly scold me for making her think of cake. I am sure you all are going to be coming up with some wonderful creations of your own for this sketch. What could be more tempting than a chance to win a wonderful TE prize? My card features the darling Gorjuss Rubber Stamp - GJ Waiting. This image is simply perfect for this week's challenge. I love the details in the hair for this image. It makes it so easy to color, add highlights and feature strands. I have followed the finished card with a color step by step guide. Each step adds a new color and each new color is blended out by the previous lighter color. Let's get started...

TESC139: Toad-ally Awesome!

Happy Friday! Are you ready for another wonderful Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge? What a great way to kick off the holiday weekend! I adore the Trick or Sweet II set and wanted to use that adorable toad image & sentiment for a birthday card. I also just can't put down these MME Lime Twist 6x6 paper pads. They are all so cute! I use the Fly a Kite pattern because of the fun bright colors which are perfect for a birthday card. I colored the image using Copic markers. I added some spots to the toad using the colorless blender. I tweaked the sentiment a bit by swapping out the "toad-allly awesome Halloween" to "toad-ally awesome ... Birthday" by using the "Birthday" sentiment from Sweet Celebration. I hope you enjoy this week's TE Sketch Challenge and play along with us. ICopic Weekly Challenge #31 - Shadows

Happy Monday! Welcome to another wonderful iCopic Weekly Challenge. This week's challenge is a great one. One I know that has challenged us all at one time or another and that is shadows. Shadows are key in so many ways. They ground our images and make them come to life. I chose the Plus One stamp set by Lawn Fawn to demonstrate. It's not only a super cute set, but the oven is a perfect image to use for this week's challenge. Let's go step by step.

Step 1: I started off by picking my light source to be on the right hand side. I then lightly drew an outline of how I imagined the shadow would be cast using W1. As you can see I added the shape of the top of the oven just to give it more of a realistic shadow.

Step 2: I then added in the cast shadows closest to the image on the left hand side and underneath the oven using W3.

Step 3: I blended out the cast shadows with W1 and then blended out the entire outline of the shadow with the colorless blender to soften the edges.

Hello Friends! Happy Friday the 13th! It started off with a bang as Blogger was down all last night and this morning. I am so happy I am finally able to post and bring you another fabulous sketch from Taylor. It's sure to bright up any day. It seems that I always running out of birthday cards and it's so nice to have extras on hand. I created another birthday card featuring Cuppie and friends from the Sweet Friends set along with the b-day sentiment from the Fresh Flowers set. I flipped the sketch and paired up the sets with some super cute new Lime Twist paper from MME. Aren't those colors fun? Want some more fun? iCopic Weekly Challenge #29 - Coloring with Red

Hi Friends! So excited to bring you my very first iCopic DT project. I am delighted to be a bi-weekly designer for iCopic and look forward to bringing you all the latest goodies from iCopic. Let's start the week off right with another fabulous iCopic Challenge. This week's challenge is to use reds for coloring. Lipstick Red (R29) was one of my very first Copic markers. I fell in love with that vibrant and rich color and I couldn't resist bringing home some friends for R29 with the wonderful prices they have at iCopic.

The inspiration for today's card came from my darling niece and nephew. These fun loving twins will be graduating from Kindergarten this month and will be off to the wonderful world of First Grade in August. I wanted to let them both know how proud I am to be their Auntie, so I created this card for them. To start I stamped the sweet little apple image from the My Silly Valentine set by Lawn Fawn on X-Press It Blending Card Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I began coloring by laying down my base color for the apples using R24. I chose my light source to come from the right and began shading the left side using R27 and using R24 to blend. I finally added my deepest shadow using R29 and blending it out with R27 and then R24. The following pictures layout the 3 step coloring with red process. My final coloring was done on the leaves using Y23 and Y25. I also added a little shading to my finish card around the image using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The fabulous Distress Inks will be coming available at the iCopic store beginning this week. Woo Hoo!!! Happy Friday! You know what that means.... another fun and fabulous TE Sketch Challenge. I am going for the Cuppie Hat Trick with my 3rd Sketch card in a row featuring Cuppie. Cuppie is just so adorable and even more so inside of an Easter Basket. How can you resist? This cute image is from the Sweet Spring set. The delightful springy paper is from MME - Stella & Rose collection. I colored the image in with Copic Markers and added a little sugar to the sweets with Stardust Stickles. Super Fun!

This week we also have some more excitement as we welcome 2 more Sketch Crew members. The fabulous and sweet... Dawn Easton and Tracy Clemente. Woo Hoo!

iCopic DT Call - I heart Pink!

Hi Friends! Here to share with you my creation for the iCopic DT Call. The DT Call Challenge is to create one project using the color Pink! I had promised a cupcake creation, so I thought it was only perfect to create a Jumbo Pink Cupcake for the challenge. The perfect stamp was of course the Cling Cupcake XL by Stampendous. I used R81, R83 and R85 to color the cupcake. I took my time and colored the image in sections to keep the coloring and blending consistent. I paired up the cupcake with one of my all time favorite pattern papers from MME as the cupcake liner. Those polka dots are too cute to resist. I added the fun Happy Birthday sentiment using the Bday Messages set from Stampendous. Topped it all off with lots of sugar using 2 different multi crystal glitters from Stampendous. I also added some Kraft paper too to play along with my sweet friend, Jeanie's, 50th TKT Challenge. Wow! I hope you all love this sweet Pink Cupcake!

Hello! It's been super crazy around here and there are stamps flying everywhere! I have been busy creating for the upcoming Stampendous July Catalog and I can't wait to show you what I have created, but unfortunately it will have to be after the catalog release. It's just around the corner, so you don't have to wait too long. I did want to stop by and post this Bridal Shower card I created for my BFF's little sister. Gina is like my own little sister and she was a junior bridesmaid in my wedding. Wow! I feel old now! LOL! She is going to be a gorgeous bride and I had so much fun at her Bridal Shower. I found this adorable new Lawn Fawn set called Happily Ever After at my LSS and knew it would be perfect since it looked so much like her dress. I used 2 different heart images from the set to create the background for both the black & kraft cardstock. I popped up the gown with foam tape and added some bling to the waist. This card came together so quickly and it was great fun making it for her. Hope you are having a wonderful week and I will see you again soon!

TESC136 - Happy Birthday!

Hello Friends! It's TESC time! I hope you all were as thrilled as I was to get back to Taylor's wonderful sketches. For this week's sketch I decided to play with Cuppie again this time using the TE Doctor's Orders and Sweet Celebration sets. I carefully inked up the Cuppie image around the Get Well sentiment on the balloons, so I could use the image for a birthday card. I was also trying for a more masculine card using some MME patterned paper with the orange, blue and brown color combo. Love these colors together! So are you ready to get to stamping? Life is Sweeter...

Life is SWEETER when shared with friends! What a great sentiment! It's one of my favorites. I have just fallen in love with these adorable Mimi images from Penny Black. They are so cute and I love all the new images that have come out for Spring featuring Mimi. This card was made using the Flowers for Mimi stamp. Aren't those little birds so sweet? I wanted to use my Stella Rose patterned paper again to create a darling little paper pieced dress for Mimi. I used the same paper for the background along with another pretty pink floral piece. I colored Mimi and her little bird friends using Copic Markers and added the grass using Prismacolor Pencils. I hope you like today's little fun Saturday card and I'll be back again on Monday to share some Stampendous Fun.

Hi Friends!!! Did you see the "Eclipse"? Eclipse tape of course! LOL! I have been looking and looking for this tape for months. No one had the large roll in stock and when I had finally given up I received an email from Impress Rubber Stamps featuring their What's New items. The Craft's Meow Grand Opening!!!!

Hello Friends! I am so excited to bring you some wonderful news and a new little friend. My dear friend, Lisa, is celebrating her grand opening today of her wonderful new store - The Craft's Meow! Woo Hoo! So let's get this celebration started!!! I am very proud to introduce you to the darling Little Frieda. Isn't she sweet? The Little Frieda image and sentiment below are part of the Little Frieda's Daisy set. I just loved coloring her and paper piecing her little dress. The paper piecing was so easy that I couldn't stop thinking about all the different ways I could dress her up. I am sure Little Frieda is going to be a star! Happy St. Paddy's Day Friends! Thought I would pop in and wish you all a fun filled day with a little Leprechaun card. This adorable image, the shamrock and sentiment are all from the Irish Shorty set by Stampendous. I colored this cutie using Copic Markers and added some subtle gold shimmer to his beer and belt with a gold Spica pen. I stamped the shamrock background using Tea Leaves VeraMagic ink onto Bazzill cardstock. The kraft background was embossed using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. I popped up his beer with some 3D foam tape and popped up the entire image onto the kraft cardstock. I hope you like today's card and I will be back this weekend with more Stampendous fun to share. Howdy Friends! I can't believe how crazy it's been lately, so I wanted to pop in and post a little birthday card I made recently for the daughter of one of my closest friends. She is an amazing young lady and I was so excited to celebrate her special day with her. I picked up the new Cuppie set called Sweet Friends by Taylored Expressions. I LOVE that adorable birthday cake image. I paired it up with some of my favorite patterned papers from MME and Bo Bunny. I added some glitz to the frosting using Stardust Stickles and a little sweet pearl for the center of the flower.

P.S. Just a little side note... I was so excited to see the brand new Copic colors available @ Oozak.com today. I was able to get all 12 and they have already shipped. Yippee!!! The first shipment is going fast, so stop on by and check out the new colors. They are really pretty!

I am going to be attending Scrapbook Expo this weekend here in Orange County, so I'll be sure to fill you in on any new goodies I pick up.

Hi Friends! I have fallen in love with these adorable Mimi stamps by Penny Black. I have almost collected all of them. I luv'em so much! Well, what did I happen to see at CHA? You guessed it... more gotta have Mimi stamps. Look here to see them! Too cute! I am already saving my pennies. So I thought I would share with you today a cute little girl image called Basket of Love. I also used the Penny Black Feb2011 Sketch to create this card.

I am thinking this girl has to be Mimi's BFF, so I got to send this one out to my BFF! My BFF, Pilar, has already sent me my Valentine's Day card last week. Really??? She is that good. Now she's not a stamper, but she loves cards. She sends me so many cards all through the year, just to let me know she's thinking of me. She's a keeper! So I try to make up my lack of card giving (I know) to her with a special card. Well here it is... Don't you just love that sweet face? I hope P loves it too!

Hi All! I'm back from CHA! Well, it was really only 40 minutes away from me. You know you met someone from California if they tell you how long it takes to get there instead of how many miles. LOL! I had a blast and no one called out "Security!" when I met them so it was all good. LOL! I stamped the hydrangea flowers with 2 different purple shades of chalk in and the stem in chalk ink as well. I added some violet glitter from one of the amazing Glitz sets and also added some pretty Blue Violet Ultra Fine Crystal Glitter. The sentiment is also from a terrific new set called Friendship Assortment. A really easy and fun card to make that makes a bold statement. Those Jumbo images really pop and make card making simple and beautiful.

Next up is the sweet Cling Jumbo Butterfly Pair set...

I stamped this beautiful butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics. I added some sparkle with Multi Ultra Fine Crystal Glitter. The sentiment is also part of a new set called Sincere Sentiments. I added the background pattern using another new set called Daisy Thanks stamped with Versamark ink.

Today's cards feature 2 beautiful new floral sets named Narcissus and Daisy Thanks. I love all the new floral stamps Stampendous created for the new catalog. I stamped and colored my first image with Copics and added some Multi Ultra Fine Crystal Glitter. I apologize for the photos. I was so excited to submit my cards that I forgot to photograph them at home. These pics were taken with my Iphone, so it's hard to see the glitter. Believe me it really sparkled! I added a few pearls and some lace ribbon to give it a more delicate touch.

On my second card I stamped the image and colored in the daisies using white pigment ink. I colored the center of the flowers, the stems and the ladybug using Copics. I used some Lemonade Yellow Fun Flock for texture to the center of the flowers.
